Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Zinc finger AN1-type domain 3 (ZFAND3) also known as testis expressed sequence 27, Tex27 is a zinc finger transcription regulator. ZFAND3 is associated with type 2 diabetes susceptibility and found to be a driver of glioblastoma invasion. ZFAND3 is translocated to the nucleus and binds to promoter regions to regulate the expression of several genes related to cancer cell invasion: OL6A2, FN1, and NRCAM. ZFAND3 contains two zinc finger domains, a N-terminal A20 domain and a C-terminal AN1 domain separated by a linker region. Loss of either domain can impair its ability to bind to the DNA and act as a transcription regulator."}]}]}

Presentation

Five slides of ZFAND3 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.

Principle of Procedure

Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
