Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"SATB2 (Special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2) is a transcription factor involved in chromatin organization and gene regulation in osteoblast differentiation and skeletal development. SATB2 binds to specific DNA sequences to regulate the expression of target genes in colorectal epithelial cells and has thus been observed in colorectal adenocarcinoma. SATB2 positivity can be detected in primary colorectal cancer, and is normally not detected in cancers arising from other tissue types or organs that commonly metastasize to the colon. SATB2 expression has also been reported in osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer that arises from osteoblasts."}]}]}

Presentation

Five slides of SATB2 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.

Principle of Procedure

Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
