Summary & Explanation
{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Pygopus proteins are critical elements of the canonical Wnt/β-catenin transcriptional complex which is essential for activation of Wnt target genes. Pygopus Family PHD Finger 2 (PYGO2) has a diverse role in gene transcription, cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and invasion. Therefore, this protein has been implicated in Wnt-independent roles in both development and cancer. There is some evidence that pygopus 2 is also associated with G protein-coupled receptor pathways.\nStudies found that abnormal pygopus 2 expression is found in several different cancer types and correlates with grade of malignancy and poor prognosis."}]}]}
Presentation
Five slides of Pygopus 2/Pygo 2 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.
Principle of Procedure
Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
