PAX-7 regulates neural cell adhesion molecules and is expressed in proliferating myoblasts, but it is down-regulated after playing its role in cell differentiation toward muscle-derived specification. PAX-7 is restricted to muscle satellite and myogenic precursor cells in adults. PAX-7 is encoded by a gene on locus 1p36, which can translocate with forkhead in rhabdomyosarcoma gene (FKHR or FOXO1) on chromosome 13. The fusion PAX7-FKHR protein is frequently seen in alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. According to literature, PAX-7 is also expressed in Ewing sarcoma and synovial sarcoma."}]}]}
