{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Myeloid cell nuclear differentiation antigen (MNDA) is present in myeloid cells (monocytes, granulocytes, macrophage) and a subset of B lymphocytes within the marginal zone and mantle zone of tonsil, lymph node, spleen. MNDA is a highly basic protein from 1q22, along with AIM2, IFI16, IFIX are members of the PYHIN family of nuclear proteins which share a common structural feature, including signature N-terminal PYD domain and C-terminal HIN-200 domain. These proteins bind to DNA, assemble inflammasomes and trigger inflammatory response and apoptosis in response to interferon. MNDA expression is studied mainly in leukemias and lymphoma, particularly nodal marginal zone lymphoma."}]}]}
