Summary & Explanation
{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"CD75 is a cell surface differentiation antigen produced by the enzyme alpha-2,6-sialyltransferase. CD75 is expressed predominantly on mature B cells in peripheral blood and germinal centers, as well as several B cell lines. CD75 antibody reacts with red blood cell precursors of bone marrow, ductal and ciliated epithelial cells of kidney, breast, prostate, pancreas, lung, and with glioblastomas, astrocytomas, and Reed Sternberg cells in lymphocyte predominant Hodgkin’s disease. It is shown to be a helpful antibody for ascribing a B-cell phenotype in known lymphoid tissues."}]}]}
Presentation
Five slides of CD75 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.
Principle of Procedure
Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
