Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"CD11c (1TGAX) is a member of the leukointegrin family and shares the same beta subunit with other members of the leukocyte adhesion molecule family, which includes CD11a (LFA-1), CD11b (MAC-1), and CD11d (ITGAD), but has a unique alpha chain. CD11c is a type I transmembrane protein found at high levels on most human dendritic cells, but also on monocytes, macrophages, neutrophils, and some B cells that induces cellular activation and helps trigger neutrophil respiratory burst. CD11c is expressed in hairy cell leukemias, acute nonlymphocytic leukemias, and some B-cell chronic lymphocytic leukemias according to literature."}]}]}
