Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Brahma-related gene-1 (BRG-1) protein, encoded by the gene SMARCA-4, is the core catalytic ATPase subunit of the SWItch/sucrose non-fermentable (SWI/SNF) complex. SWI/SNFs are a member of the family of ATP-dependent chromatin-remodeling complexes and facilitate the transcriptional activation or repression of target genes. The molecular weight of the BRG-1 subunit is approximately 185 kDa. BRG-1 is essential for DNA repair, differentiation, and organ development. Dysregulation of BRG1-mediated transcriptional programs can contribute to the development of cancer and other diseases."}]}]}

Presentation

Five slides of BRG-1/SMARCA4 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.

Principle of Procedure

Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
