Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"Bcl-6 (also known as B-cell lymphoma 6) is a transcriptional regulator protein that contains a zinc finger domain. It is a transcriptional repressor mainly required for germinal center (GC) formation and antibody affinity maturation which has different mechanisms of action specific to the lineage and biological functions. Bcl-6 forms complexes with different corepressors and histone deacetylases to repress the transcriptional expression of different subsets of target genes. Bcl-6 is required for the establishment and maintenance of immunological memory for both T- and B-cells, and suppresses macrophage proliferation."}]}]}

Presentation

Five slides of Bcl-6 positive tissues, each mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.

Principle of Procedure

Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining
