Summary & Explanation

{"type":"root","children":[{"type":"paragraph","children":[{"type":"text","value":"The Human Cancer Tissue Microarray (TMA) is an unstained ready-to-use microscope slide consisting of 11 - 2 mm cores of human formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissues which were assembled in array fashion to allow multiplex molecular pathology analysis and validation of reagents, or to be used as tissue controls for immunohistochemistry (IHC)."}]}]}

Materials and Presentation

Five Human Cancer TMA’s with 11 - 2 mm tissue cores each, mounted on Hydrophilic Plus Slides, provided in a plastic mailer.

Principle of Procedure

Control slides are Hydrophilic Plus Slides with FFPE tissue or cell sections mounted on them, serving as a tool to qualitatively verify the performance of immunohistochemical staining procedures.

Each control slide contains tissue with known expression of the antigen targeted by the specific antibody. Positive staining on the control slide confirms the antibody’s functionality and the proper execution of the staining protocol.
