FlexISH – Reliable ERBB2 Results in Just One Day

ZytoLight FlexISH products are designed for the detection of chromosomal aberrations in a range of specimen types using fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH). Flexible hybridization options allow laboratories to select either same-day (approx. 2-hour) hybridization or an overnight protocol, supporting efficient integration into existing schedules and throughput requirements.

Detection Method
FlexISH Fluorochromes

The FlexISH system detects direct labeled FISH probes by fluorescence microscopy using appropriate filter sets. Full-spectrum light, emitted by the microscope lamp, is reduced to light of a defined wavelength that specifically excites the fluorophore of the probe. This light is reflected onto the specimen by a dichroic mirror. The fluorophore then emits light of longer wavelengths that pass the mirror. Finally, a barrier filter reduces the emitted light to a defined wavelength that can be detected.
